Starfleet Helper Program
By Robert Harmon
This is a Windows 95 program by
Robert Harmon that automates impulse movement and handles damage
and damage allocation for SFB.
It contains an automated 32 impulse movement chart, a calculator for
damage from various weapons, and it has SSD's (a few ships each for
the Feds, Klingons, Hydrans, Kizinti, and Romulans so far). Thus, for
damage it will only require you to specify which shield(s) are hit and
for how much and then it will allocate the damage and any internals.
Installation
To setup up the program simply unzip the SF.zip in a temporary
directory and the run the "setup.exe" program. This
puts everythings in the "C:\Program Files\StarFleet"
directory.
This consists of the Starfleet.exe program which is the
movement and damage forms, and then the different race programs
(i.e. Federation.exe, Romulan.exe, etc.). If it is
not installed there it will still work, however when it comes time to
select which races you are using just click the "Select Race" button
without selecting any races. This will bring up the Movement form and
the weapon damage forms and then the user will have to manually start
the "(your race).exe" programs themselves instead of the
"StarFleet.exe" calling them.
