(R?.X1) CLAYMORE ADVANCED DREADNOUGHT (DNX): In Y188, as the ISC began their attempt to place a buffer zone between the Federation and the Enclave, orders were given to convert the DN+ Death Master to an X-Ship. It is not clear if the ship had not yet been completed or it had been badly damaged in battle. It is not recorded whether this upgrade was completed or not, but it is known that the Death Master was destroyed in the defense of Starbase 11 in Y193. The Battle involved a Dominator and an Intruder (the Starbase, DNX and Intruder were Destroyed). Both DNs and DN+s can be converted to this configuration. The Enclave was able to field DNXs due to their relatively peacful history afforded by staying neutral from the general war. All of the other powers preferred the two CXs that could be built for the same price. The Enclave had the luxury of building the best fleet flagship that money could buy. This ship has a tunnel bay (J1.58) Refits: This ship is eligible for the ASM refit. This ship has no variants. Landing (P2.43): gravity, powered, aerodynamic; bonus(theoretically). (R?.X2) HAND AND A HALF LIGHT DREADNOUGHT (DNLX): There is a persistent rumor that the DNL Battle Chief was actually completed as a DNLX. If this is true, it may mean that all the DNLs were DNLXs. There were at least three DNL variants constructed, but how many of these were X-technology is vigorously debated. This ship has a tunnel bay (J1.58) Refits: This ship is eligible for the ASM refit. This ship has no variants. Landing (P2.43): gravity, powered, aerodynamic; bonus(theoretically). (R?.X3) SWORD ADVANCED CRUISER (CCX): In Y183, the Enclave had just finished the Orion Civil war and was beginning the first peaceful period in its short history. Several new projects were started at this time. One of those was to begin the production of Advanced technology cruisers. Because they believed that they had the time, they began building the new cruisers from entirely new hulls. Had they converted them from existing hulls as other races did, They could have finished their first cruiser that same year. As it was, the first ship, the Might, became active in Y185. In a very confusing move, the Enclave used the same class and ship names as the old series cruisers. This resulted in several cases of identically named ships serving together in the same battle. The Sword can only carry unmanned PFs. This ship can be converted from the Katana NCA, the Long Sword CC, or their variants, but not the Sword CA. This ship has two bays. Transfers by (J1.59). This ship has no variants. Refits: This ship is eligible for the ASM Refit. Landing (P2.43): gravity, powered, aerodynamic; bonus. (R?.X4) SHORT SWORD ADVANCED CRUISER (CLX): There was considerable debate in the Enclave High Command whether it was worth the time to create an X-version of the Short Sword. The poor turn mode and the similar combat potential of the XHD were solid arguments against it. Fortunately, the reinforced wings which allowed heavy weapons to be mounted there was considered enough of a reason to build such a ship. The ability to mount four ASMs on a cruiser hull was something that no other class could do. This ability proved crucial during the Andromedan War. In fact, the CLX Trooper has the only confirmed kill on an Intruder by a CL known. The Intruder displaced right in front of the Trooper with empty PA panels, and proceded to unload into it. The Intruder expected to be able to take the CLXs alpha strike with little or no internal damage. The Trooper launched 4 ASMs in return, which the Intruder was too close to avoid. The resulting explosion destroyed the crippled Trooper. This ship has two bays. Transfers by (J1.59). This ship has no variants. Refits: This ship is eligible for the ASM Refit. Landing (P2.43): gravity, powered, aerodynamic; bonus. (R?.X5) SCIMITAR ADVANCED HEAVY DESTROYER (HDX): The Scimitar is probably the most improved over its non-X sibling. This ship (and its non-X siblings) bore the brunt of the casualties during the first counter offensive of the Andromedan war. Something on the Andromedan side seemed to have decided that they were the perfect target for hit and run raids against Enclave squadrons. An Andromedan mother ship would scream in at Warp 15 and destroy an HD and then disengage at high speed. The HDs got their revenge during Operation Unity, where they had a flawless record. This ship has no variants. Refits: This ship is eligible for the ASM Refit. Landing (P2.43): gravity, powered, aerodynamic; bonus. (R?.X6) BROAD SWORD ADVANCED DESTROYER (DDX): The DDX Maim was the second X-Ship completed by the Enclave. The DDX ended up being the most numerous of the Enclave X-Ships in the X-Fleets of the Andromedan War. The DDXs were strong enough to stand up to Andromedan Satalite Ships, while the smaller FFXs could not. All FFX production was halted after the fall of Starbase 11 to allow the construction of more DDXs. After the Andromedan War, normal production resumed. This ship has no variants. Refits: This ship is eligible for the ASM Refit. Landing (P2.43): gravity, powered, aerodynamic; bonus. (R?.X7) DAGGER ADVANCED FRIGATE (FFX): The FFX as a class faired poorly in battle. This much more attributable to its opponents than poor design. During the ISC War, its excellent drone capacity lead to it being frequently targeted by ISC formations. It was relatively easy to kill and its loss significantly reduced the number of drones that needed to defended against. During the Andromedan War, the FFX was outclassed by all but the smallest satalite ships. Eventually, FFX production was curtailed and all remaining FFs were reassigned to the police forces until the war was over. This ship has no variants. Refits: This ship is eligible for the ASM Refit. Landing (P2.43): gravity, powered, aerodynamic; bonus. (R?.X8) STILETTO ADVANCED CORVETTE (CTX): The Stiletto was the last of the enclave calsses to be converted to X- tecnology. This only changed when Pirate forces began fielding significant numbers of X-Ships in Enclave territory. This ship has no variants. Refits: This ship is eligible for the ASM Refit. Landing (P2.43): gravity, powered, aerodynamic; bonus. (R?.X9) AXE ADVANCED TUG (TGX): The Enclave was the first race to convert its tugs to X-technology. This did not reflect any pressing need. Rather, it reflected the residual paranoia of getting their trade cut off, from the Orion Civil War. Although this did give the Enclave a slight advantage, it is doubtful that it justified the cost. This ship has a Tunnel Bay. (J1.58). This ship has no variants. Refits: This ship is eligible for the ASM Refit. Landing (P2.43): gravity, powered, aerodynamic; bonus unless carying a pod. When carying a pod it has a bonus.
